Context

Mi Melao is a cosmetic brand specializing in fruit-based body creams. Its target audience consisted of women aged 30 to 45 who wanted to care for their skin and were looking for a brand that felt fresh, relaxed, fun, and original.

I developed the brand identity, packaging design, e-commerce website, and marketing plan.

Skills

To kick off the project, I held three meetings with the client to understand her challenges and define clear objectives.

After that, we created a detailed plan and timeline to first develop the brand identity, then design the packaging for the main product, followed by the e-commerce website, and finally, the marketing plan.

Once the objectives were clear, I conducted research to fully understand the problem, the market, the users, and the competition.

Together with the client, we identified key opportunities and defined how to differentiate the brand.

After that, I established the brand’s voice, personality, and visual style. I used several tools, including User Personas, Empathy Maps, SWOT Analysis, Brand Archetypes, and Brand Storytelling, among others.

After developing a warm, relaxed, and playful brand, exactly what our target audience needed, I moved on to designing the packaging and the website.

Following several rounds of review and iteration, the design was approved, and I developed the e-commerce site using WooCommerce, the platform the client preferred for logistical reasons.

Throughout the process, I applied UX design methods such as wireframing, low- and high-fidelity prototyping, and usability testing.

In the end, I delivered a fully responsive and functional e-commerce website.

After the brand, packaging, and website were approved, I moved on to creating a marketing plan.

The main objective was to attract as many buyers and leads as possible to test the product and build a client base.

To achieve this, I designed an Instagram sales funnel: at the top was the main offer featuring a big discount, followed by remarketing and email marketing strategies.
